3. The beach from Fornače to the entrance in Piran
At the
beginning of Fornače you can find a well-tended beach with pebbles with
disabled-friendly accesses to the sea. Then a concrete beach stretches towards
Piran where you’ll find another pebble beach in the proximity of the town’s
entrance, suitable especially for families. The beach is terraced and there’s a
green area with pine trees, so you can sunbathe or enjoy the cool shade during
the hot summer days.
4. The public beach in Piran
The most
popular and visited beach in Piran and at the same time the smallest one is
located next to Giuseppe Tartini theatre and Hotel Piran. The beach is made of
concrete, has access to the sea and piers. Close by you can find excellent
restaurants where you can enjoy your lunch.
5. Punta beach
Punta is a
very popular well-tended beach, part concrete and part rock. There are accesses to the sea, a free shower
on the beach, a pier and various bars and restaurants close by.
6. The natural beach under the church of St. George towards Fiesa
Natural beaches offer more privacy and
tranquillity, but entering the sea can be a bit of an endeavour. During low
tide, you can access this beach on foot from Punta beach, otherwise you can
reach it from Fiesa. The beach has pebbles and rocks. On one side you have the
sea, whereas on the other the mighty cliff that occasionally offers some shade.
7. The natural beach in Pacug (between Fiesa and Strunjan)
The loveliest beach in Piran is definitely
Pacug. Access is a bit limited, as you need to manoeuvre among and over some
larger rocks, but as you peek around the cliff, you’ll see there’s enough room
for some leisurely relaxing on the beach. Unfortunately, there are no bars or
restaurants nearby. Going in the sea can be a bit tricky in some places due to
the rocks on the sea floor, but there are some pebbly sections too. Pacug is
also known for its high cliffs.
