Meeting tips

Budgeting

  • Build a small contingency into your budget to accommodate unexpected expenses.
  • Review hotel accounts daily with our Managers on duty to avoid surprises on the final bill.
Use the online RFP to send us your meeting or event needs and expections.

Site Selection

  • Understand how time will be spent (e.g., what type of meeting it will be – ex. workshop, boardroom, etc.), then determine the type of facility to match your needs.
  • If a destination or property is new to you let us know the most appropriate time for a site inspection.
  • It will be our pleasure to present our 4 properties or just the one perfectly matching your needs.
  • If you aren’t able to visit the site before the meeting, ask our meeting professionals to record a video of the space and email it to you.

Check all three destinations and their property.

Food

Remember to ask about Bernardin Delights and special dietary needs (i.e., allergies, religious beliefs, vegan, etc.). Check all 16 restaurants in st. Bernardin, San Simon and Salinera resort. 

Suggestions for business events with a culinary theme:
  • Istrian evening with traditional Istrian cuisine and music / tasting evenings with olive oils or selections of local winemakers.
  • Wine: Wine experiences at sunset and in the hinterland of Slovenian Istria
  • Oil: Vintage culinary experience Lisjak
  • Truffles: Hunting, cooking and tasting

  • Full technical support with all technical aids: projectors, microphones, speakers, translation option...
  • We offer 19 modern multifunctional meeting rooms ith natural daylight, exhibition space, registration areas, support and tehnical offices, storage rooms.
  • The biggest convention hall in Slovenia - Europa Hall -  is divisible in 4 sections.

During your stay in Portorož, you can also spend your time practicing sports. There is a vast range of choices: Diing, Horseback riding, Fishing, Waterskiing, Sailing,Volleyball, Cycling, Parachuting, Surfing, Football, Tennis, Sup-paddling, Golf ...

For every event we prepare some top spa selection services specially dedicated for the type of the group.

  • Discover our world of saunas and get warm in a herbal, infrared, or Finnish sauna, or in a steam bath, then cool off in the pleasant cold pool and enjoy all the advantages of a Kneipp treatment.
  • Visit our Istrian hammam and enjoy this popular body cleansing ritual with an Istrian twist. After applying a salt scrub and natural soap with lavender and rosemary essential oils, your body is rinsed with hot and cold water, followed by a natural wrap that suits the particular needs of your skin.
  • The salt treatment has a positive effect on the respiratory system and prevents respiratory diseases. The salt room is furnished with comfortable wooden recliners, while the floor and walls are covered in salt from the Slovenian coast. 
  • Even during foot care, hand care, and facial care, you can still enjoy views of the endless blue sea.
